Wasatch Adaptive Sports (WAS) needed to capture the essence of their transformative winter programs, highlighting the joy, resilience, and empowerment experienced by participants. The goal was to create compelling visuals that would inspire more people to engage with their programs, support their mission, and foster inclusivity on the slopes.

Novais Studios partnered with WAS to create a series of captivating videos and photos showcasing adaptive skiing and snowboarding programs in action. By focusing on heartfelt moments and the triumphs of participants, we captured the authentic spirit of WAS’s mission. The storytelling approach emphasized inclusivity, community, and the life-changing impact of adaptive winter sports.

A Day in the Life: Empowering Adventures

with Matt and Camille

To offer a firsthand look into the transformative experiences of Wasatch Adaptive Sports (WAS) winter programs, Novais Studios followed two participants, Matt and Camille, as they navigated a day on the slopes. Their stories highlight the accessibility, inclusivity, and life-changing moments that define the WAS experience.

Matt discovered WAS through his rehabilitation journey, recalling, “One of the guys said, there’s this adaptive program called Wasatch Adaptive that takes you skiing, biking, and more.” With personalized instruction and adaptive equipment, Matt described the experience as “pretty life-changing… it’s magic.”

Camille found WAS through a friend and shared how seamless the process was: “I filled out a form, got a call back, and everything else was handled.” On the slopes, instructors adapt lessons to her needs, giving her confidence to succeed: “Skiing with WAS feels amazing. I feel empowered and strong.”
